CARDIFF LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN

Cardiff Local Development Plan 2006 - 2026:  Consultation on Alternative Sites

The Deposit Local Development Plan (LDP) was made available for public consultation between October and November 2013. In response to this consultation formal comments have been received for policy boundary modifications, for new site allocations or for the deletion, modification or for a change of use of sites proposed in the Plan. These are known as Alternative Sites (also termed Site Allocation Representations).

Cardiff Council is required to produce an Alternative Sites Register which identifies those alternative sites submitted at the Deposit Plan consultation stage.  The Register includes suggestions for new sites and amendments or deletions of allocations within the Deposit LDP. It should be noted that these sites are not being proposed by the Council, but were submitted by individuals and organisations during the Deposit period.

The Council has now prepared its Alternative Sites Register and is undertaking a six week consultation on the document between 11th February 2014 and 25th March 2014.  This is in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Local Development Plan) (Wales) Regulations 2005.
