Old St. Mellons Village Hall

Situated in the heart of the oldest part of the village of Old St. Mellons, just off the Newport Road and almost hidden from view, is the lively hub that is the Old St. Mellons Village Hall.

Old St Mellons Village

The current Hall was officially opened in September 1984, with the latter addition of the smaller side hall. The building comprises the two halls, with a large kitchen off the main hall and toilets off the entrance foyer. It also has a large stage area.

There is disabled access and a disabled toilet.

The Village Hall is owned and managed by the Old St. Mellons Community Council on behalf of Old St. Mellons residents.

This 12th century Church nestling on the hillside above the A48(M) is one of the oldest sites of Christian worship in Wales. For centuries the Church has been amongst just a few houses, but now sits alongside the new ‘St Edeyrn’s Village’ development.

Knit a Poppy for St . Edeyrn's

 We will remember them …

This coming year we thought it would be good to remember the fallen at St Edeyrn’s.

We invite you all to help us achieve this challenging project and create a stream of poppies to run down the tower of St Edeyrn’s, Old St Mellons.

Ministry area , community council , schools and other organisations , friends neighbours anyone who can knit or crochet a red poppy we would be most grateful for your help, the more we get the better the display and we can add to it each year if necessary. Patterns can be found on line, but there are some examples attached.
